More New Orleans Street Art ~ March 2017

Our most recent sojourn in the great city of New Orleans, Louisiana took place over the the last three days of February and the entire month of March in the year of 2017. Over our 34 days of living in the Faubourg Marigny we discovered and shot new and new-ish works of quality New Orleans street art nearly every day, primarily in the Marigny, Bywater and St. Claude neighborhoods, but also in an unintentionally random variety of other locales. Among the many artist showcased below find works by the world famous Bansky, local standout Brandan “BMike” Odums and Venice, California-based Jules Muck aka “Muck Rock”. Real life responsibilities preclude us from producing a lengthy narrative to accompany this latest photo record of our explorations, so please let a mere reporting of the time and place we shot each work included herein suffice. Or don’t. Whatever. ~I♥DM

New Orleans, the city, is itself a living, breathing, ever-evolving, ever-expanding work of art. When you are there you, too, are part of an elaborate, age-old fabric of culture and creativity who’s tattered soul has persevered and thrived through three centuries of trials and triumphs. We close this, our latest examination of the Crescent City’s street art traditions, with a photo shot from the corner of Chartres & Frenchmen that we can only hope captures a mere fraction of the spirit of this great city’s restless bohemian heart….. ~I♥DM
